Escondido, CA – As the holiday season approaches, the Escondido Police Department is gearing up for its annual Children’s Christmas Party, a heartwarming event aimed at providing joy to children who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and violent crime. The event, scheduled for early December, promises to be a magical day filled with festive activities for the young attendees.
The Children’s Christmas Party, a cherished tradition organized by the Escondido Police Department, seeks to offer children an unforgettable Christmas experience they might not otherwise have. The event lineup includes an array of activities such as a magic show, arts and crafts, face painting, and a special visit from none other than Santa Claus himself. Every child in attendance will also receive gifts, adding an extra layer of warmth and delight to their holiday season.
The success of this event relies heavily on the support and generosity of the community. The Escondido Police Department is calling on residents to contribute to making this Christmas a little brighter for these deserving children. Individuals are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped gifts suitable for boys and girls ranging from newborns to 18 years old.
Additionally, the organizers are seeking gift card donations for the older children who will be attending the event. Gift cards from coffee shops, department stores, and movie theaters are particularly welcomed. These cards provide older children with the opportunity to choose something special that aligns with their interests.
To facilitate the donation process, drop-off locations have been established throughout the community. Residents can contribute to this heartwarming cause by bringing their donations to the following locations:
