New Urban Forestry Initiative Targets Disadvantaged Communities Nationwide
Hispanic Access Foundation partners with U.S. Forest Service to invest in urban tree canopy through $10 million in grants.
Washington, D.C. - The Hispanic Access Foundation has announced the launch of the Nuestros Bosques: Faith-Based and Strategic Local Investments initiative, a nationwide effort aimed at improving access to urban forests in underserved communities. In collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service, the foundation will distribute over $10 million in grants to eligible organizations, with 80% of the funding directed toward disadvantaged areas.
