Miami, FL – J Balvin, el aclamado cantautor colombiano, será galardonado con el Premio Billboard Espíritu de la Esperanza durante los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina 2024, que se llevará a cabo el 20 de octubre de 2024. Además, el artista brindará una actuación en la ceremonia que será transmitida en vivo por Telemundo, así como a través de la aplicación de Telemundo, el servicio de streaming Peacock y en Latinoamérica y el Caribe por Telemundo Internacional.

La fundación también ha apoyado La Bellota, apadrinando a 61 jóvenes para que expresen sus talentos, y ha construido la Tarima Arte Vivo, un escenario para que los artistas emergentes de la Comuna 13 presenten sus habilidades a la comunidad.
El Premio Billboard Espíritu de la Esperanza, creado en honor a Selena, se otorga a artistas que, más allá de sus logros, han dedicado tiempo y esfuerzo a causas cívicas y humanitarias. Anteriores ganadores incluyen a Carlos Santana, Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Shakira y Ricky Martin.

The artist will also perform during the prestigious awards ceremony, set to air on October 20, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Telemundo, with simultaneous streaming on the Telemundo app, Peacock, and across Latin America and the Caribbean via Telemundo Internacional.

Among the foundation’s accomplishments is its partnership with the Hogar Corporation to build an Integrated Services Center in Medellín, benefiting 500 children and adolescents. The foundation also supported La Bellota, mentoring 61 young people to express their talents under a comprehensive guidance model that allows them to choose a training process aligned with their passions. Additionally, the foundation constructed the Tarima Arte Vivo, a stage for emerging artists from Comuna 13 to showcase their talents to the community, and created El Balcón de Los Artistas, a dance school in Manrique that serves 600 children passionate about dance. Moreover, the organization is currently building a public recording studio in Popular – Comuna 1 for emerging artists, named Medellín Music Lab.
