San Diego – The organization’s annual Children’s Charity Gala has been cancelled this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This gala was a large source of donations for Father Joe’s Villages that allows them to continue their philanthropy. Following the cancellation, Father Joe’s Villages has created the online Children’s Champions 2021 fundraising campaign to replace the gala.

In addition, a local biopharmaceutical company, Neurocrine Biosciences, reached out to Father Joe’s Villages to create a matching donation campaign, in hopes to encourage contributions. For every dollar donated to Children’s Champions, Neurocrine Biosciences will donate the same, up to $200,000. The Chief Executive Officer of Neurocrine Biosciences released this statement about the partnership, “We hope the San Diego community will join us in supporting the Father Joe’s Villages Therapeutic Childcare Center so that they can continue the much needed work to provide children with the resources and services they need to live a healthy and happy life.”

Donations can be made via Father Joe’s Children’s Champions fund.
