Los Angeles – PRIMETIME Sports announced a historic achievement with a record attendance of 86,134 fans at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena for the annual Clásico de México event. This year’s Clásico de México featured the rivalry between Club América and Chivas de Guadalajara, setting notable records in the process.

In the highly-anticipated match, Club América secured a 2-0 victory over Chivas.

This event marked the largest attendance for a match between two Mexican clubs in the United States. It also became the highest-attended game between any two clubs from the Americas within the U.S.

The Clásico is the sole annual sporting event broadcast live on Telemundo and Univision, the two largest Spanish networks in the United States.

The halftime show featured the Mexican regional band ‘Tucanes de Tijuana,’ entertaining over 86,000 fans.

The Clásico’s attendance surpassed the previous record of 82,110 set during the MLS El Trafico rivalry match between LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club at the same venue on July 4, 2023, which remains the MLS attendance record.

In 2019, the Clásico de México drew 61,417 attendees at Soldier Field, setting the stadium’s record for an international club soccer match. With this year’s record-breaking attendance at the Rose Bowl Stadium, the Clásico now holds two sellout records at iconic U.S. venues. The 86,134 fans at the Rose Bowl Stadium emphasize the event’s growth and the increasing popularity of this intense soccer rivalry.
