No Kid Hungry Activa Mapa y Línea de Texto en Los Angeles Para Encontrar Comidas Gratuitas Los Angeles – 19 de marzo, 2021 - Se estima que uno de cada cuatro niños en California podría pasar hambre en 2021; antes de la pandemia, ese número era uno de cada siete niños. Dado a esto, No Kid Hungry, campaña nacional enfocada en erradicar el hambre infantil, ha activado un mapa y un servicio de texto para ayudar a las familias en Los Angeles a encontrar comidas gratuitas, incluyendo comidas ofrecidas por las escuelas y otros recursos de alimentos en su comunidad. San Diego’s Directing Change Program and TREF sponsoring local “Hope for Change” contest. Top prize $300.

BY ANDREA RAMOS San Diego - Individuals, ages 12 to 24, have a chance to win $20 to $300 in prize money. The San Diego County Health and Human Services, Directing Change Program, and the Trauma Research Education Foundation (TREF) will be sponsoring the “Hope for Change” contest. Any young individual within the specified age range can submit an art piece (visual art, narrative, film, music) with the theme of mental health, resilience, hope, and change, while also including the lime green ribbon for mental health to the Directing Change Program. This will be going under the Hope & Justice category under the theme, “Hope for Change.” The goal is to convey how one copes or feels about the issues previously stated.
