BY ANDREA RAMOS

San Diego – Individuals, ages 12 to 24, have a chance to win $20 to $300 in prize money. The San Diego County Health and Human Services, Directing Change Program, and the Trauma Research Education Foundation (TREF) will be sponsoring the “Hope for Change” contest. Any young individual within the specified age range can submit an art piece (visual art, narrative, film, music) with the theme of mental health, resilience, hope, and change, while also including the lime green ribbon for mental health to the Directing Change Program. This will be going under the Hope & Justice category under the theme, “Hope for Change.” The goal is to convey how one copes or feels about the issues previously stated.

The deadline to submit is April 30th 2021, just before Mental Health Awareness month in May.
